(U.S. and Iranian diplomats meet at Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's office in Baghdad, Iraq, Tuesday, July 24, 2007. (AP Photo/Iraqi Government))
(AP) "An Iraqi official who was present at the meeting room said Crocker and Qomi were involved in a heated exchange early in the talks.
Crocker confronted the Iranians with charges that Tehran was supporting Shiite militiamen killing U.S. troops, providing them with weapons and training.....
Qomi dismissed the allegations, saying the Americans had no proof."

Wild accusations with no proof to back it up. Such is the status of diplomacy under the Bush regime. God help us all, especially all those innocent civilians in Iran who are sure to be killed by our government.

The most ridiculous thing is that Iran is getting progressively less democratic under the pressure.
Democracy activists in Iraq are telling the US to back off, that the pressure isn't helping.
Then again, it's not about democracy, is it?

But it's never really been about spreading democracy, has it.

Nope. Democracy promotion as practiced by this administration is a cover through which anti-US dictatorships can be undermined.
