The middle east is on fire....
In Lebanon, an anti-Syrian lawmaker was killed in a massive carbombing. "Lebanon has been hit by a wave of assassinations targeting anti-Syrian figures.... Eido was the seventh anti-Syrian politician to be killed since Hariri."
In the Palestinian territories, the violence between Hamas and Fatah has significantly escalated across the Gaza strip with Hamas "seizing a major Fatah security base and control of main roads." CNN is reporting that Fatah is retaliating in the West Bank.
(Later: (AP) "Hamas pounded Gaza City's three main security compounds and President Mahmoud Abbas' headquarters with mortars, grenades and assault rifles Wednesday, calling on beleaguered Fatah forces to surrender in an apparent attempt to take control of the entire Gaza Strip.")

Turkey/Kurdistan? Don't know if this too rises to the level of (potential) flash point.
The Egyptian elections that forcefully and overtly disenfranchised opposition parties might also be seen as laying the foundations for a coming flash point there.
Just some thoughts...

Yes, and sort of. Turkey Kurdistan would be by far the largest but it isn't exploding today.
I never know about Egypt. It's a ridiculously repressive society torn by some appalling poverty, but it's largely been non-violent.

Would you say that the Egyptian repression has cause violent outbursts elsewhere? Maybe I'm trying to find a connect that doesn't exist, between poverty/repression in Egypt and a lashing out where lashing out can occur... given that Egypt is locked down so tightly.

There are Egyptian terrorists, and there was the bombing campaign against tourist sites years ago, but no, my understanding is that Egypt is mostly free of the terrorist type violence.
That's one of the reasons the election repressions intrigue me so much, because you have this Islamic group, the Muslim Brotherhood, which is painted as so radical in the west, and yet within their own country, they're trying to win through elections.
I'm not an expert on Egypt

Here is a good summary of the true flashpoint:

Just a heads up for those who might read this. Wes's video is about a conspiracy between Hitler and Islamic figures in 1941.
(There's no mention of Henry Ford being equally evil.)
