The Republican's double super secret plan for Iraq?
On Hardball this PM, Georgia Rep Phil Gingrey (R) rather assertively stated that if the current Iraq strategy has not yielded results by August '08, the Republicans have a secret plan. (Miraculously timed to the '08 Republican Convention.)
"This president, and the Republican majority from the last Congress, we do have a 'Plan B,' but we're not going to give it to the enemy."
It's the last 35 seconds of the video.
Is this the newest effort to stall the debate?

Are you referencing the famous John Lennon song?
Look. Bush put off firing Rumsfeld, he put off a new strategy until after the election.

"...but we're not going to give it to the enemy."
The question is: who do the Republicans consider "the enemy?" Methinks the Dems, if this is a Republican double super secret plan.
Any "plan" that one party would keep secret from the other is just a cynical partisan ploy.... it is contemptible and anti-democratic.

That's a good point that it is a secret plan for the Republicans not the country.
I'm pretty dubious of the overall claim because I find it impossible to believe that such a thing would be as widespread as Rep. Gingrey and not have leaked.

Oh Mike!
you know I didn't mean it like that. Then again it has been a long time.
