Gonzales postponed til Thursday
The Senate Judiciary Committee has postponed Gonzales' appearance until Thursday out of respect for the tragedy at Virginia Tech. Good for them.

Another example of the Dem leadership being a class act. They even consulted with Gonzo on this.
Can you imagine McConnell (sp?) or Frist if the party roles were reversed here?

There is a class act element in this, but you could also make the political argument that they want a "clear" news day for the hearings and tomorrow will not be one.
Also, DoJ and FBI will be deep in the VaTech case tomorrow, and you don't want everyone with one eye on the TV watching their boss get grilled. They need to be on the job tomorrow.
So, yes, class act, but I would bet there are other things going on.

Good points. I'm revealing my weakness -- my fawning admiration and respect for Sen. Leahy. I just like the guy and want to think everything he does is pure as the driven snow. :)
Some people get all gushy about Reagan. For me, it's Leahy.

AS it goes, that's a pretty good choice. I would argue he's as clean as they come.
There's no evidence to support my speculation, so there's no real reason to lose your optimism.
It's not like you're worshipping Cornyn.
