Does it mention the 20,000+ injured and that it's only due to advances in military medicine, not the level of violence, the numbers of dead are not at least quadrupled?

Nope. No one does.
And I don't know if you've ever noticed, but the Pentagon does about all it can to prevent a breakdown of the types of injuries.
The reports of a prevalence of head wounds and brain traumas, for instance, is largely anecdotal spoken of by doctors at individual faciliies.
The most broken down number I've seen was that roughly 7,000 were too wounded to return to duty, but that could mean a broken wrist or a lifelong disability.
