Picture of the Day

Can she measure the drapes now, Mr. President?

(to make this extra special, I stole this picture from Drudge.)

  • Nice.

+ 23 for Dems right now. Two Dems in GA are still having a tough time though. Looks like Dems will end up taking 25-28 seats in the House and 4+ in the Senate.

I loved Webb declaring victory in VA. Just like GWB in 2000 and 2004. Declare victory and make the other guy litigate.

  • + 26 House, + 4 Senate (not counting Webb) and Montana is looking okay.

    Geez, who'd have thought it?

Tonight was so much more fun than the last few elections.

  • So, we're a little better/high end of the consensus projections. Not bad at all.

I think they should claim political capital.

  • I was impressed with Pelosi's speech where she emphasized her commitment to make her House the most open, transparent and ethical House in history. While Iraq is always at the forefront -- because it's being driven by the WH -- she gets it that integrity and honesty matter! (And I've no doubt the netroots will hold her to it.)

Yeah, she can start measuring the drapes...

  • I actually wasn't horribly impressed by that speech.

The integrity line was very strong, but something about her speech didn't seize me.

    Just my opinion.

You know what. It doesn't matter. They're in. Hah!!!

  • Mike, 2.5 hours of sleep. Sleepwalking through work today, but heckuva day. Tester's won, Webb's up and Rummy's gone.

    Fantastic.

  • I know. Rock and roll.

It sucks though that I'm too tired to do a big celebration.

But I am breaking out in chuckling smiles every 5 or 10 minutes.
