Picture of the Day - 2
Code Pink Rocks.
Capitol police remove Medea Benjamin from the House gallery after she disrupted a speech by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Capitol Hill in Washington Wednesday, July 26, 2006, as the prime minister addressed a joint meeting of Congress. (AP Photo/Dennis Cook)
(One of my favorite old Pictures of the Day is CodePink's June Brashares fighting to be heard at the 2004 Republican Convention.)

I'm surprised she ever got in with that shirt. The Bushies may be totally incompetent, but they're very particular about all things sartorial.

I'm sure it was under something.
I was wondering if this is like the SOTU where all the gallery seats are by congressional invite only, and if so, who invited her.
(Also, if they are tracking anti war protestors, I would think the Maliki speech would've been the apex of protection.)

I heard they backed off on tracking the anti-war protesters because they are catching serious flack for it (as they should).
I really like the looks on the faces of the people. Not outraged, or even suprised.
They look more like people into whom the realization of how bad things have gotten has finally set firmly.

You'd be amazed at the general shift across the board, the gloom that has descended on Americans.
