Another possible allegation

This is from the parents, not directly from the military, so, take it for what it is.

DINUBA (AP) - The shot in the chest that killed a 22-year-old soldier in Southern Iraq wasn't fired by the enemy, but by someone on his base, his parents said.....

They said military officers said their son was killed Saturday by personnel from his base at Camp Bucca, an internment center for captured insurgents, as he made his way back to his barracks at the end of his shift.

  • There was lots of that crap during Vietnam too..its getting so bad..so very, very bad over there.

    Will you follow this story?

  • Yeah, my first title for this post was "Fragging," but as that usually referred to superiors and this is still not esatblished as anything, I changed it to a more neutral title.

And, yeah, I will probably follow this if it goes somewhere, but, you figure the the next step in the story is either some element of an official investigation confirming the worst, or a complete dismissal of it.

If it's the former, everybody will have the story, if it's the latter, one might not be printed.

So, yeah, I'll follow it if there's more there, but if there's more there, probably everybody will be following it.

  • Well, I read your happy ass daily so if you follow it I will know :P

Yeah, fragging was for senior officers wasn't it? Besides the younger generation might not know what it is.

  • There've been a couple of odd deaths in Iraq that revolved around corruption.

This was "an internment center for captured insurgents."

I know nothing more than what's in this article.
