Rep. Jerry Lewis may be in trouble.
A federal grand jury has subpoenaed "records connected to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Jerry Lewis and a lobbying firm with strong ties to Lewis."
Maybe the Dem strategy for 2006 is to keep their mouths shut and wait for 15 Republican house members to be indicted.

Lewis came up on the radar recently as the fourth most influential character in Congress.
I guess he would prefer that publicity to an investigation.

He's head of Ways and Means which is the committee which designates and approves ALL governmental spending, so he is a big dog.
