Picture of the Day - 3
Yeah. I think the president should spend the next three days focused on an anti-gay marriage Constitutional Amendment that's not even expected to pass the Senate.
I mean, what else has he got going on?

Mike, don't you know that our brave servicemen and women are "over there" defending the sanctity of marriage? Oh, and our freedoms as well. Don't forget about that.

Is the Shrub gonna pray about it or just talk to the big guy?
..and I don't mean dead-eye dick..

Yeah, Rex, the freedom to discriminate in our constitution.
Oh, Dusty, he's gonna pray about it very publicly.
I think what kills me about this is that they don't even have the votes. They know that nothing is gonna pass, and they're still doing it.

Well, when in doubt...pull out the wedge issues and play on peoples' fears so they vote against their own best interests. Classic Republican't play book.

James, that's what 2004 was all about. Poor and middle class voting their bigotries to support a party who was weakening their relative economic position. I read a very interesting post somewhere recently talking about how a new Dem strategy is going to be to force details on the budget issues, and then nail them on those details. Tax cuts sound good until you find out that you're getting nothing.
Matt, There's been a rumor floating around that there's a "top policy making aid" that might be outed soon.
Yeah, I'll probably catch the Rolling Stonepiece when they put it online.
