McClellan Resigns
Thinkprogress has a one sentence post up saying Scott McClellan has resigned. Previous speculation elsewhere has had Dan Senor ex Iraq CPA spokesman taking over the job. After defending Paul Bremer's mistakes for so long, he should be well qualified to defend Bush's.

Oh Scottie, we hardly knew ye...
Guess we all saw that coming. I find it interesting that Karl was demoted as well but rallying the troops will be a full time job this year.

Yeah, I'm assuming that the Rove demotion was a condition required by Bolten before he took the job. Andy Card was willing to let Rove run roughshod over him, but I'm betting Bolten wouldn't accept it with Rove still holding that title.
Although as long as Rove is in the Whitehouse, he's going to run roughshod over anybody he wants to.
