If I go offline for awhile

If I go offline for awhile over the next couple of days, this is why.
HOUSTON -- Unseasonably hot temperatures forced power utilities around the Houston area and Texas to conduct rolling blackouts on Monday.

Of course, from past power outages I know that I'm on the same grid as one of the wealthiest areas, so, America being what she is, I probably won't be affected.

  • Dude I so feel your pain. As a current Californian (who lived through our blackouts) and as a former Texan, I can say with certainty that if I ever had to go through blackouts in summer again, Texas is one state that where I would not want to be. And you're in Houston no less, right?

  • Yep, Houston. So long as they're short, an hour or so, it shouldn't be too bad, but again, like in California, I don't really expect to get hit because I share my part of the grid with the rich people.

    Did I ever think it would come to $70 oil and rolling blackouts?
