Yes, it is an open mike, so feel free.

I don't do funny all that well, so I always welcome people who can write funny.

But I do reserve the right to delete anything I find offensive for any reason, solely at my own discretion.

Reasons I have previously deleted captions are racism, misogyny and undue profanity. If you're making a point by using one of these I have no problem, for instance putting words in James Dobson's mouth about the homos, that doesn't bug me at all.

But if you're just being racist etc, I'll zap it.

Also, I am pretty scrupulous when it comes to the war pictures. I'll take comments that are "real" but if the comment feels inappropriate to me, or I don't think a funny caption really fits the tragedy, I'll zap those too.

But, all that being said, go crazy. I'm pretty liberal on these rules. Funny stays up.

I love to look in the comments and see something really funny. I love iit when I read something that makes me laugh out loud.

Also, sometimes things can be said in humor that really can't be expressed as well any other way.

So, yeah, caption away.
