It was a very worthwhile article. This sentence said it all: Thirty years after Vietnam, we seem to have learned very little.
Sadly, for many people like Jeff, death is the only way to escape the pain.

I'm always a little hesitant in recommending "soft" articles in that their appreciation is largely subjective and subject to a previous point of view.
But I thought this one was pretty good.
What caught me was the one trained PTSD psychologist covering LA to San Fran. That's unbelievable.

Bush's new budget cuts the VA even further. Suicide, homelessness, filled mental hospitals, filled jails. What a great plan our leaders have for us.
