Iranian nuclear deal close?
The LATimes seems to say that an Iranian nuclear deal is within reach as Ahamadinejad appears to support it. Reuters focuses more on the changes the Iranians want, although it's not clear how much of that is required and how much is negotiation.
I don't really know where we are, but both sides appear to be talking seriously, and that's gotta be a good thing.

It all comes down to trust. The West thinks Iran wants to build a bomb. The Iranians think the West is out to shut down their nuclear program.
There should be some middle ground.

I agree. I think it falls onto third party credibility.
Trying to build a solid trust between Iran in the US is going to be near impossible, so the use of third parties is a viable way out.
Do both sides trust the IAEA and the Russians?

Frankly I don't think the Israelis will ever feel 100% secure.

No. But they didn't before the nuclear program.
As an aside, I operate under the assumption that Iran is a rational actor. Despite the rhetoric, their actions are purposeful, and there's no real gain to be had for nuking ISrael, and a huge, huge cost.
