Boy is this guy full of himself. A petulant, spoiled, simpleton who sees himself is a giant among men. The weight of the world on his shoulders as the throng of humanity -- helpless without his wisdom -- awaits his near-divine pronouncements. All this from a humble brush-cutter from Texas... Ah shucks.
I thought this paragraph summed it up. Unprepared, yet full of himself,
"Looking younger than his 63 years and relaxed, Bush did not appear to have an overarching theme, but strung anecdotes and jokes together and frequently mentioned his faith in God. "
Okay, but wouldn't you still think he'd quit talking about that damned yellow rug? World leaders, anybody who visited his office had to hear about his rug.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.

Yes but he's talking to the people who will be buying signed copies. They probably think he sounds downhome and folksy.
