This is kind of funny. Not only may the US have lost the games due to fear-induced, xenophobic travel restrictions, US travelers attending the games in Brazil will be uniquely subjected to reciprocal treatment. A bit of karmic payback?
On the other hand, if you're spending the money to fly to Brazil paying the 400% markup for a hotel room, and buying $25 sodas, $130 probably isn't that much.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
