The coming face of the Republican party, sexist, racist, etc.

There's been alot written about the shift in national demographics that will, in the longer term, dwarf the current Republican white voting block. The GOP has two choices, either expand their base into some of these growing demos, or try to appeal more and more strongly to white males only.

That strategic battle will be the future for the GOP, and thus far, it looks like the crazy baiters are winning.

Just today, (ThinkProgress) Republicans in SC said (in a submitted editorial!) that Sen. DeMint is "watching our nation’s pennies’ like a Jew.

(Politico) Giuliani race baiting in the NY mayor's race,
“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” Mr. Giuliani said .... “This city could very easily be taken back in a very different direction — it could very easily be taken back to the way it was with the wrong political leadership.”

(MediaMatters) Rush Limbaugh tells a female CNN personality "Carol, you need to go sit on a fire hydrant and improve your day."

And, (ThinkProgress) FoxNews praising the illegal aliens costumes that have gotten so much flak.

So, in one day, Jews, blacks, women, and Hispanics. ....and that's just today.

  • It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).

Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. He is reaping what he has sowed, KARMA, "palin and simple" like his followers. Don’t we all feel better?

  • Agreed, but Limbaugh's not the only one. It was rough to hear Giuliani go back to the anti-black/crime rhetoric that won his first mayorial race.

  • I'm presuming that "palin" instead of "plain" is a typo...but it is one I can savor.
