I think the strategy is to drive the Waziri Taliban over the border where the US forces are loaded for bear. Might work I guess.

The only problem is that you're doing this leading into winter which makes operations harder.
Doesn't make it impossible, just means that the Army that's not on their ground, garnering local support is hampered and much slower, having to move everything through the snow.
