Who gets to be a star?
I've really been avoiding blogging the insanity and implosion of "birther" queen Orly Taitz (The lead spokesperson in the "Obama isn't a citizen" thing,) but now, after claiming the last judge was "treasonous" and part of a giant conspiracy, she claims that the termination letter from one of her clients is, in fact, a forgery.
I'm not dancing on her insanity or revelling in her downfall. What I'm doing is noting that, with no credentials of any kind, and clear signals of her psychological imbalances and paranoia, this woman was sought after, feted, and put on almost every news network to spout her clearly delusional and baseless charges.
This is someone who was clearly not rational from the get go, but still got propped up on the news networks for weeks. They treated her rantings as debatable arguments.
Souldn't someone do a post mortem and ask how that happened?

I dunno. It just struck me with such an extreme example. I mean, her crazy was oozing out even in the first interview.

The birthers, the tea baggers, the screamers, and the deathers continued extreme minority presence will become tiresome to mainstream America, if it has not already done so. To all the birthers in La, La Land, it is on you to prove to all of us that your assertion is true, if there are people who were there and support your position then show us the video (everyone has a price), either put up or frankly shut-up. I heard Orly Taitz, is selling a tape (I think it’s called “Money, Lies and Video tape”). She is from Orange County, CA, now I know what the mean when they say “behind the Orange Curtain”, when they talk about Orange County, the captial of Conspiracy Theories. You know Obama has a passport, he travel abroad before he was a Senator, but I guess they were in on it. In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away the rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”. I heard that she now wants to investigate the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).

Paul, That's my hope, and we did see that with the birthers after the first wave. I would hope that eventually extends, but we'll have to wait and see.
As a second point, the hardcore Republicans have taken control of the voice and message of the GOP and the primary system. However, the big party money is still kinda out of their control. It's secure to the GOP because it's mostly business anti-tax anti-regulation, and right now it is supporting the crazy people because they're the ones winning, but the big donors are still operating in their own interests first.

I equate the birters with the Pet Rock craze from the 70's. They will become just as embarrassing - eventually.
And when the "respectable" GOP leadership does officially sever their ties with all these fringe wackjobs, I hope with all of my heart that the fringe wackjobs turn on the GOP like deranged, angry Frankenstein Monsters.
What lovely poetic justice it would be to see them being chased down the street by the blood-thirsty zombies of their own creation.

I think it's more like the horror plot where the gets the hand transplant only to find out that the hands came from a murderer and the hands start acting out of his control and making him do things.

We are all adults here, and as adults we know there are consequences for are actions, so if you do not agree with his policies, you can a) do nothing, b) support him, c) not support him, d) protest and picket, its your choice, live the dream! As for Orly Taitz, to this point she has not been successful because she does not have any proof, documentation supporting her claims except her wild rants. I would not bet the farm on this one. She has a mail-order-degree get someone with real credentials (Harvard, Yale Law School) not a Russian immigrant with dual US/ Israel citizenship (where are her allegiances?). Have you even thought of who is paying for all these filings her travel, her wigs? Sorry she has no juice because she does not have any proof, documentation supporting her claims except her wild rants. I heard they are now playing the victim card as well. Please, feel sorry for us the “Birth Certificate” that we built our entire case around and that we have been dancing around turn out to be a big “Fake”. Her material might work on “Fake News” but not in a Court of the United States.
