A moment of Glenn Beck insight

If, for some reason, you want a look inside the delusions of Glenn Beck, this is about as close as you'll get.

  • That is about as scary as it gets! I think the guy who is listed as a psychiatrist is scarier than Glen Beck. I can see him turning gay men straight with the power of prayer. What happened to the concept that there are different opinions about what is good for the country rather than there is right and there is wrong--period?

  • Yeah. That guy struck me as way out there, too.

(And only the FoxNews contributing psychologist goes on about turning America into "socialism" in the middle of a segment on psychological health.)

I can only guess that Glenn Beck is actually contagious.

  • Very confusing. I think they should both get a second opinion.

  • I think they miss the fact that America is a socialist already. The wealthy extract what little wealth the working class below them has. In that case it's Capitalism. Socialism is when the working class even dares to think about extracting wealth from the owning classes.

They're arguing against opposite ends of the same system. Most rubes think that they are two separate and distinct systems.

  • Anon 2, It's only "class warfare" when it's the poor complaining.

  • Exactly.

HMO's and Insurance companies have had 'death panels' for years. Deciding for decades who lives and who dies.

When you hear the GOP and their lackeys spout off this stuff it's only because they have to accuse the 'other' side of doing it first. Then the accused can't come back and criticize the GOP for their ACTUAL bad actions. You would be admitting a false guilt and they would accuse you of rationalizing your supposed bad actions. It's a difficult point to argue from and the GOP are masters at it.

Luckily there are a handful of people that can see through it.

  • Just a thought. The way you describe it, you leave out the possibility that they really believe they're victims... like Beck there.

  • It seems that they only spout their propaganda for power and cash. Look at the perverts that make up a broad swath of that party. The disconnect between their public statements and their private acts are schizoid.
