The new CW

"Conventional Wisdom" has now settled on the idea that Eric Holder is powerful and independent (Both the WaPo and NYTimes' top stories.)

Probably should get ready for Republican cries of "Attorney General out of control."

  • It depends what you mean by that, but from my guess of what you mean, I would probably say no.

    You don't get to even be a serious contender for the PResidency without selling at least part of your soul, and governing frequently takes a part of the rest.

    The best you can hope for is that they make their independent stands where it matters.
