(Guardian, WaPo, AP) This recent N. Korea warmongering is about toughening the image of Kim Jong-Il's 26 year old son to aid the succession of power.

I wonder, then, if this would be a good time for the international community -- and I mean including China and Russia -- to come down hard on N. Korea.... Break the chain of tyrannic insecurity at the generational link.

Just a thought.

I don't think they will. After the last nuclear test, China was pretty harsh, but Russia was silent.

However much they like or dislike the current regime, their primary concern seems to be keeping N. Korea from collapsing sending millions into both their countries.
