Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!!!
Politico for the last two weeks: Obama's taking on too much... His agenda is too broad... he's overreaching....
Politico headliner today: Obama should have resolved race relations by now.
(Their top figures are Republicans, but I'm still surprised at the editorial turn.)

Yeah, Politico has become somewhat loathsome: shrill, petty, and reeking of an agenda. At first I had thought they were trying to prove they weren't "in the tank" for Obama, but now it's obvious they are looking to Matt Drudge as a model.
They still provide a somewhat noble purpose in keeping wingnut trolls on their boards and off the rest of the blogosphere, though.
Wasn't it just six months ago that the GOP was literally praying for racism to save the nation from Obama?

I don't know if they're necessarily looking to this version of Drudge, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking the late 90's Drudge.
There's going to be an anti-Obama niche there for someone.

I think it's begun to sink in after nearly two months of a non-Bush administration: Obama's there for the long haul.
