I was commenting on the broader perversion of the Presidential Medal of Freedom under Bush.
But to the photo itself, Blair does look like a man who was made an offer he couldn't refuse. I mean, can you really say "no" when offered the medal? Still, I think Blair and Bush are more alike than not when it comes to imperialist thinking in foreign policy so maybe there's not all that much regret.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.

I mean Blair shows regret. Have you ever seen regret on a Pres medal winner?

Yeah, I think as far as Blair is in, he has to take the medal. Can you imagine the press if it leaked out he had refused?
