Froomkin writes the retrospective
Normally, as the president gets on that helicopter for the last time, we get that rose hued retrospective. So far this time, I'm still not seeing it. (Third paragraph.)

Ouch.
But surely the Washington Times will have a more flattering retrospective.

I haven't seen any flattering anything yet.
I was really expecting to see at least one positive "personality" profile by now, good man beset by tough times, etc.... But nothing yet.

I haven't been following it, but nothing from WSJ, Wash Times, National Review? Certainly Fox News has had something (but that's cable).

I really haven't seen anything, not even on TV (which are likely to be the softest.)
I haven't been diligently searching, but you have to figure that if a major had done something Bush friendly, we would have run across it excerpted in disbelief somewhere.
Maybe it's "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all....."
Maybe that's the kindest cut they can muster.
