Are we going to see a kinder, gentler McCain now? Will we see any of the Palin attacks that have hounded her since the failure of the campaign? Is he going to bring Joe the Plumber with him?

No. He'll be magnanimous, gracious, self deprecating.
He has never attacked Palin himself (although it does appear that he winked at aides as they did.)
His "legacy" concern is to try to get his media darling brand back.
