Do fundies believe in Halloween?
I know it's one of those little things, but I was very surprised that the younger Palin kids got to go trick or treating (in Pennsylvania.)
Down here in Texas, there's a whole fundie movement against Halloween (because it's seen as Satanic.)
Maybe that's why I couldn't find a picture. I really tried.

I live in Texas also (Houston). It's amazing the way the religous nuts can take a simple holiday for kids and attempt to turn it into something negative. I'm not suprised though. This is the same state in which 23% of the voters believe Obama is a muslim (according to the Houston Chronicle). Sometimes I'm embarassed to let people know I lve here.

Two things. It's a subset of fundies, the purest of the pure.
Also, there are some serious methodology issues with that poll. It's Zogby, it's internet, it wasn't properly sampled.....
But I have run into one or two here in Houston.

Not sure this link will work but there is video of the interview available on the transcript page that shows a short clip of them trick or treating.

No, the link doesn't take you to the vid, but the link to it is on the right sidebar.

It's Okay. Not really worth fighting over.
In three short days, her name will disappear, you know?

dogs bark at cars, the moon, invisible squirrels. we are not surprised. while there may be a study underway covering this phenomenon, I wouldn't suspect it to make a rousing read.
if religious wingnuts contrive any matter of nonsense rules for themselves, I am not surprised. in fact, if someone were to write a study on that, I suspect it, too, would fail to be an interesting read.
