Did you know?
Did you know there was a "special relationship" between Israel and Georgia managed and blessed by the US? (Georgia abuts Iran's north.)
Not trying to spread any conspiracies, but I thought that added an interesting context to Russia-Georgia conflict in relation to the US-Israel, Russia-Iran standoff.

Interestingly, there was a recent find in southern Russia of an apparently Jewish city, abandoned and forgotten.
I'm not sure about how it relates to Georgia or Iran geographically...

This is another case of Israel carrying out a shadow foreign policy that the Administration cannot get support to do on their own. The American forces could always pretend that they were merely advisers and trainers, and the Israelis could do the more militaristic stuff and intelligence work.
I would be surprised if there wasn't also some stirring-up of ethnic groups along the Iranian border to carry out "contra" activities. The idea that our vital interests lie in Georgia is not plausible. Georgia is being used against Russia and Iran.

R8r, I hadn't seen that. Probably not much, probably a bunch of Jews who fled persecution and settled there, but interesting.
....
Todd, Yeah, I didn't want to go too far down the road with just this one article, but yeah, I'd leave all that out there as a possibility.
