Given the meme that Obama is an inexperienced neophyte who keeps making "rookie" mistakes and doesn't have the seasoning to be president, I'm not sure I would have had him photographed in a bumper car if I were working for his campaign, even if he is with his kid.
to me - an independant - it shows him as a real father. Look at his daughter - happy and comfortable next to her father. Not a scripted photo op but also not one that catches him looking ackward. See Mitt manning a drive-thru window with his $5k wrist-watch.
I'll certainly buy that. Frankly, just flipping through the candidate photos as I often do, his family pictures are unquestionably the best.
It's very clear that they are a real family who really care back and forth, and not a long time political family with all the stifled emotions that entails.
I think Reality and I are both responding to the very created sense of an Obama campaign careening around banging into the accepted norms.
Heck, even Obama referenced the bumpercars as metaphor in the last debate.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.
