Obama's introduction
Here is Obama's first general election ad, heavy on country and values airing in red states/swing states. Interesting.
The ad will air in Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Virginia, per the campaign.

Good ad... for the intended audience. Right out of the gate it counters the radical, America-hatin', anti-white, scary-black-man meme the GOP will be (and has been) spewing into the information pool.

I thought the music was an interesting choice. Not the traditional swelling mini-orchestra.

I think the whole point was to be low key. Not to frighten the potential swing voter... A tough act to sound proudly American, but not forcefully as to be "uppity."
In many ways (other than the actual message) it reminded me of Huckabee's "Christmas" ad.

That's funny. Huckabee, huh?

I just meant in tone and style. Quiet, low-key, home setting, warm lighting, lose the tie, no swelling pageantry... "Just the guy down the street."
Certainly I'm not comparing the content. Obama can do moving oratory, but he can also do the humble, "aw' shucks" thing to, if you know what I mean.

I got it.
