Do you think the succession of Clinton supporters/commenters who stormed off the blog from January through March will ever come back?

Who might those be? Are you including the big Clinton bashers?

No. they will never get over it, and are all waiting somewhere for Obama to slip up...and then they'll get him!

No, for the most part, they didn't leave. One left, but he was pretty crazy anyway.

But I know of three distinct Clinton supporters (really good, thoughtful commenters) who departed at various points after some very heated exchanges. One around all the South Carolina race stuff. One After Texas and Ohio following shortly after my "She still can't win post" over an argument as to whether the superdelegates would overturn the pledged delegates. (I said no.)

And one a little later after a very testy and emotional exchange which ended up with the commenter saying that Obama could never win the general because white people wouldn't vote for him and then me asking if they were of the belief that the Democratic party should bar black people from running for the presidency.

And Ron, I'm definitely not pleading innocence in this. I was the other side of these arguments.

I don't think it's fair in this to just blame the Clinton folks as bitter losers. It was emotional both ways, and to some degree it still is.

It's just a curious question about the divisions and damage we had.
