I sure can't wait for it to warm up here in Chicago so the car can sit and I can enjoy 70mpg on my motorcycle.

  • Here, here! Though my motorbike doesn't get 70mpg it's a lot better then the sedan.

The crazy-ass thing is that Republicans will fight tooth and nail to maintain taxpayer give-aways to the oil industry.

  • I would love to drive a motorcycle, but my policy is, as long as everyone else is driving tanks.....

My grandmother was driving long after her alzheimers started.

  • Yeah, you gotta ride defensively. I assume no one sees me and ride accordingly. But is that really any different than riding a bicycle?

I've decided that riding responsibly is safe enough -- and it's good for my soul.

(I'm going on a long tour through Nova Scotia and Newfoundland this summer. Maybe I'd better convert my USD to CAD now, before the my 'merican money is worth even less.)

  • Don't really ride a bike either.

And if I were out in the country, I think it's a great idea.
