Russian President Vladimir Putin demonstrates how to silently break the neck of a political opponent. Mr. Putin was unaware of the former president's attachment to his pet dog, and for the remainder of the day the atmosphere between the two was reported as "chilly."
The mood did not improve when Vice President Dick Cheney, later in the afternoon, unloaded his 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun into Putin's pet cat, Boris... twice.
