So Obama's corruption was to take a $13,000 loss?
Now, let me get this straight. Obama's front page corruption was to take a $13,000 loss?
Boy, those Democrats don't know how to do anything.
Later: Obama responds. There's nothing here.
(I would be very curious who pointed this reporter towards this line on the financial disclosure. It showed a fund and a loss, but it didn't show the specific "questionable" investment or any connection to potential legislation. This story was handed prepackaged.)

Frankly, the MSM seems to treat the mere act of engaging in free enterprise or capitalism as suspicious and corrupting when done by a Democrat. Republicans, on the other hand, are expected to be unethical and corrupt, and must pass a certain bar of unseemly corruption before the press takes notice.
It's all about the media's stereotyping prejudices -- which are not only insulting to me, but also dated and simpleminded.

I'm not completely sure all of this is a clean deal. There is maybe a question of his donor/friend who recommended the fund gleaning some sort of information. However, if that story was there, that's the story they would have written.
This isn't like Hastert's land deal or Frist's insider trading.
When Obama found out something might possibly have been up, he bailed out at a loss.
It doesn't warrant front page.

You make and interesting point -- one that the story fails to highlight -- that Obama bailed on the investment independently and proactively. He did not make good only when brought to the ethics table kicking and screaming like other politicians.

Right.
Also, this is pretty small potatoes next to he and his wife's earnings and net worth.
This is a classic hit job by somebody.
