Congratulations, Mr. Cheney, you've gotten us closer to war.
If Iran increases its efforts, we may not have the five to ten years that the previous intel suggested.
(AP) Ahmadinejad and the Foreign Minister claimed, more vaguely, less cooperation with the IAEA.
(I do want to add, the US position has not changed, but watching Nicholas Burns make the US statement instead of abrasive John Bolton....., there is a big difference.)
Iran has vowed to start work immediately on drastically expanding its capacity to enrich uranium, defying the first ever UN sanctions against the Islamic republic's nuclear programme.
Top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani said work would start as early as Sunday on installing 3,000 uranium enriching centrifuges at a key nuclear plant, hours after the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution against Iran.

Perhaps you could mention that there is no evidence as of today, that Iran is trying to build a nuke. Israel still won't allow insectors in their facilities, something Iran has done. You do the math.

"Creative destruction" or some such "intellectual" nostrum from the NeoCons, who to a man have never held a rifle with their own life on the line.
But, happy holidays despite all that!

Good point, Romunov. My hunch is that they're building the technological and structural base to let them build one at some future unspecified date in a compressed time. Because the technology step is the long step. Once they know they can substantially enrich, actually building a very basic bomb is relatively easy.
So, no real bomb program, but they're building a shorter lead time as it were. Also, no need to attack them to prevent anything.
....
Copy, Schumpeter's "creative destruction" doesn't get much mention in the Neocon philosophy when in actuality it is one of the underpinning ideas of the whole democratize Iraq movement.
And, same, merry, merry.
