I wonder if we're approaching a tipping point where the media will quit pretending there's an "Iraqi" police force and an "Iraqi" army, and start referring to Sunni and/or Shia police and military. It's getting to be a sad joke to perpetuate the myth of a unified Iraqi identity.

That's a very good question.
There is a very small core that has worked, a couple thousand out of 300,000, but their leader was killed last month and I haven't heard anything about them since.
But the majority is is not a security force.
