(although it must be said that the Bush/FDR comparison isn't really fair. FDR wasn't distracted by mountain biking.)

Well, to be fair, FDR waged war on the country that actually attacked us - Japan - and its allies. If FDR waged war on - I don't know - Spain, World War II might still be going on. ;-)
