This is it, and there are not enough troops for it. What is a few more brigades but a chance for more IEDs? And the mess in Lebanon makes it even more difficult. It's awful.
Yeah, The whole "war" is a complete mess. We're over extended militarily and the fallout from that is that we're crippled diplomatically. Iran is winning, the N. Koreans are winning, The Russians are winning, and the Chinese are winning.
I find the addition of so few troops to Baghdad interesting. It's not much of a commitment or a decisive move. The plan is to control neighborhood by neighborhood, but the insurgents are just going to flow around such a small presence.
Spc. Ziegler here from U.S. Central Command Public Affairs, don’t worry, big brother is not watching. I seem to get that allot. I am not posting a comment here to try and persuade anybody to change there mind or point of view. My only intention is to invite readers to visit the CENTCOM website at www.centcom.mil . We offer press releases, news stories etc. from Iraq, Afghanistan and all other areas with the Central Command Area of Responsibility. With that said, I hope you will pay a visit and I hope you will find the information useful.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

Well, the U.S. mass media is missing it, but you can bet we aren't. I've got my eyes wide open on this one. This is it.

Yeah. Cole also made not that Mosul is falling apart since troops were pulled out to Baghdad. And it looks to me like Fallujah is doing the same.

That probably wouldn't be too hard to predict would it? (Rhetorical question)

Praguetwin, but I would've expected a little longer lag time.
Everybody else, SPC Ziegler is referring you to the Centcom.mil site, the top address for the command that covers Iraq and Afghanistan.
And on that site, there's not one mention that there's actual fighting going on!!!! IT's frightening.
