Wow, I was going to say "priorities people" in response to the police spending their time with beer when there are security issues that seem a bit more pressing.
I didn't even think about the opium. So, seriously... Priorities people!!!

I was under the impression the Taliban were cracking (hehe) down on opium, and that when the US invaded in 2001 (or something?), the farmes went back at sowing poppy.
I was also under the impression that Europe was the main consumer of their fine products™.
Besides, you can't drink in such hot weather, you're drunk for three consecutive days. At least that's what my father learned in Iraq in early 80s. And you can't fight infidels intoxicated.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

Alcohol is taboo, but opium is no big deal.
And if that's their idea of a park, no wonder they need to get high.

You can't sell alcohol to fund a holy war. As long as Americans are willing to open their veins to Afghan opium, there will be a problem.
Not that I ever advocate violence, but why aren't we napalming these fields?
