The NYPost wasn't the only one to run with this totally false article. The most amazing thing is how easily it is checked out and proved false. Obviously a plant story and I don't know if NYPost was first, but it certainly wasn't the only one.

And, I'm not necessarily sold it's a "Pentagon" op. It could certainly have come from another branch of the US government, but I would not rule out either the Israelis who have a relationship with Black, or an independent group similar to Chalabi.

So, certainly a false story being promoted by someone, but at this point, I'm still not sure who.

By the way, if you're tracking this story, take a look at this Canadian repetition. It repeats the charge in the headline even though the first paragraph says that the law is a myth.
