Picture of the Day - 3

Still funny, huh?

  • Meanwhile, in Iraq, twelve Marines were killed when their military transport vehicle was hit by a remotely detonated explosive device while on patrol in Falluja.

The President expressed his condolences before resuming play time in the Oval Office.

  • Jesus. I hadn't seen that yet.

  • I remember that video. I still have a link to it in one of my archives and last I checked it was still working. But I have a caption for the still.

"You're right Condi. It is easier to hear when you get your head out of your ass."

  • Hah! Not a bad caption.

And I remember this video so distinctly. This was the a major turning point in my dislike for this president. The callousness of joking about no WMD when people had died.

I brought it back out today because now we know that the evidence he knew the WMD claims were bad was sitting over there on his desk while he made this "joke."

Same here. This is when I went from politically disliking W to being personally disgusted with him as a human being.

There's something missing in this man's soul. I've seen this in some kids that have been abused and neglected in the first years of life, between birth and 3. They never develop that primal, almost instinctive, sense of empathy that normal children do. This isn't a joke. I've seen this with foster children who have been removed from the home due to such abuse and neglect. This would be an interesting case study.

I honestly believe there is something emotionally wrong with the man. And he brings like-minded deviants out of the wood work as is evident in his public Q&A sessions when his followers chuckle along with him and he shamelessly brushes off the most serious of questions with a frat boy's egotistic disinterest...

Excuse me... I have to hurl.

  • I think the extreme definition of what you're looking for is sociopathic. I wouldn't put the guy as a full blown, but he certainly has tendencies in that direction.

  • I don't know, Mike. I think something snapped in the man some time around minute 2 of reading My Pet Goat, after Andy Card told him America was under attack. I honestly do think there's something psychologically not completely kosher with George Walker Bush.

Couple his past substance addictions, complete failure in the business world -- dispite and Ivy League education -- and the very heart of America being ruthlessly attacked by terrorist just weeks after you blew off a PDB and your attorney general called for cuts in the anit-terrorism budget... tick, tick, tick... SNAP!
