It just roubles me, her recent "excercise video," the innumerable photos of her showing emotion in diplomatic settings.
Technically, she's our top negotiator, but if I were on the other side, I wouldn't take her seriously. If I wanted to cut a real deal, I'd work around her to Cheney or Rumsfeld or even Hadley.
Fair crack of the whip! Compared to some of the dreary envoys sent downunder, Condi is a real treat. This is not politics, its illusion, and she does that well. Set Condi and old Bill Clinton up as a team and The US will have Australia eating out of their hands forever. Let's face it, they take their Federal government seriously and none of that mob come close in the Bill and Condi charm stakes. Sad is it not?
I hear what you're saying, careledge, but no matter what I think of her intellect or policy knowledge, I just don't think she has the interpersonal skills or the poker face to be a negotiator, and that is the Sec. State's prime role.
The Sec state is supposed to be the top diplomat whick means great subtlety and mind numbing boringness.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

That is one of the best pictures I have ever seen.

She's just awful as Sec state. Think of Kissinger, Albright, Brzenski, James Baker.
Does she carry that kind of weight?
