I think is very hard to a country like US mantain 2 wars at the same time, when many soldiers dies every day. But I support U.S. in the war against terrorism. but I think that in Iraq and Afeganistan there are more than a war against terrorism... (I apologise for my bad english)
Yeah, I generally concur that the Afghan and Iraq wars are about more than terrorism. Afghanistan had at least a component of terrorism in it, while it has been established to everyone but Cheney that Iraq had no ties to terror.
And the US defense policy actually called for the ability to fight 1 and 1/2 "regional" wars at the same time. Win one while holding the other at a draw. But neither of those scenarios accounted for a guerilla war or the occupation of a country. It was a strategy based of simple open field battles.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.
