A new US assessment of Venezuela's oil reserves could give the country double the supplies of Saudi Arabia....
(It needs to be said that Venezuela's oil is "heavy" and requires more processing, but still...)

With seven bases in Columbia, plus a new foothold in Haiti, it won't be long before the US finds a reason to invade Venezuela.

I just don't see that. Overflights, pressure, whatever, but I just don't see an invasion going down well enough among the otherSouth American countries.
