Expectation setting?

I don't know what to make of this, though. Is this real or just lowering expectations so they can claim Obama's visit and agenda speech changed the day, resetting the stage for 2010?
Multiple advisers to President Obama have privately told party officials that they believe Democrat Martha Coakley is going to lose Tuesday’s special election to fill the Massachusetts Senate seat held by the late Ted Kennedy for more than 40 years, several Democratic sources told CNN Sunday.

I dunno. But if the voters in Mass put this putz, Brown, in the Senate over Coakley -- who has a stunning resume of successful advocacy for the citizens -- well... A pox upon them.
Obama alluded to this this past weekend... if we, as a nation, continue to elect obstructionist Republicans, we will (continue to?) slide into global irrelevance with regard to leadership, innovation, and quality of life.

If Brown wins, could it be the beginning of the end of Harry Reid as majority leader? I mean, speaking from a progressive, I'm looking for someone who can play the same major league hardball the Repubs.
