Thought for the Day

People who were in the majority against the Iraq war weren't "serious" enough for the media to cover, but every crazy person who believes whatever fantasy shit about Barack Obama gets a quote in the NYTimes.

  • Serious doesn't sell papers. Crazy does.

That, and don't underestimate the influence of the corporate fraternal order to squelch the truth.

  • But it's more than just that. It's about which crazy is valid.

I mean, amid all the death panel, nazi comparisons, how frequently has the media portrayed the anti-Obama voices as out of the mainstream. Whereas reasoned anti-war or reasoned single payer isn't considered serious.
