A part time Census employee is found hanged in rural Kentucky with the word "Fed" scrawled on him.
But, all this nativism and "the census workers are evil and preparing to run us into camps" had nothing to do with it, right? I'm holding my breath, waiting for Michelle Bachmann to take responsibility.

Ptelea: First, it took days for word to get out that the guy was dead. (This was rural Kentucky, after all.) Then it took more time for the info about the "fed" carving to leak out. Add to that the fact that it takes stories without compelling video at least a full day to go national.
And add to that the fact that a lot of people -- like me, not that I'm particularly noble -- are awaiting the facts. As I post this, suicide hasn't been ruled out.
