Thought
We're no longer seeing breathless cable coverage of disrupted townhall meetings. Is it because the disruptions have lessened? The Dems learned how to handle them? Are they now "old news"?
Is it because the GOP establishment is now trying to establish distance from them since they accomplished their goal?
Just curious.

Maybe the gun nuts are right - no disruptions because we now know that many are 'packing heat' (just kidding, of course)

Yeah.
The coverage just seemed to disappear, and I don't believe those "grassroots" people stopped coming. I'm just finding it weird.
Maybe they self tempered after they saw the coverage and don't want to be that screaming wacko on TV?

Lou Dobbs has toned it down a bit too. It would be interesting to know how it works.

That's what I'm saying. They all dialled back. Did they see that the crazy was beginning to attach?

I'm curious about the mechanics of it. Do the media heads have a meeting somewhere? Who makes the decision to cool it?

Or is there a sense that they have won? No health care reform for America.
