An extremely deeply seated Democratic/Republican bias
After Bill Clinton returned from North Korea with the two women "prisoners," all of the secondary media discussion was whether Bill Clinton "had to give something up" to get them freed.
It's funny how no one... no one made the assumption that he went with a threat "to take something away."

Well, of course, Democrats are wimps who always give something up. Because Bush stood up to Kim Jong Il and that got him nothing.

Right. Exactly.
We don't know what went on in that room, but NOBODY Repubs, media, and Dems, made the assumption that there was a threat. It was all giveaway or neutral.

Haven't seen the details, but that would mark a descriptive change from "six party" where supposedly, the US was one among many.
(Although that wasn't really true in the room. It was more about presentation.)
